The immortal monkey-king Son Oh-gong (Lee Seung-gi) and his naughty and evil demeanor give a refreshing breath to the storyline. The relationship between Seon Mi and Oh Gong is that of a cat and mice. To stay safe, she resorts to a bracelet that would make Oh Gong fall in love with Seon Mi and would squeeze his heart whenever she is in any mortal danger. This contract relationship between the duo is different than any other contract relationships in Korean dramas. It is littered with a twist and turns that make them eventually fall in love.
You could also hurt someone else who may develop real feelings while you sift through your divorce trauma. Even before we get to the part where they truly fall for each other, it’s easy to see that the two characters bring out the best in each other, and that makes the journey all the more worth it. This is a very satisfying drama, with a lot of laughs and even more heart, with effortless portrayals from both stars. “Fated To Love You” is a remake of the popular Taiwanese drama of the same name (which I absolutely love), and reunites stars Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara after 12 years since their last drama. Jang Nara plays Kim Mi Young, a timid woman who is often unable to say “No,” and Jang Hyuk stars as Lee Gun, a self-absorbed heir. After an accidental one-night stand, Mi Young becomes pregnant with their child, and the elders arrange a shotgun wedding for them.

With its name literally being “Marriage Contract,” we couldn’t dream of leaving this drama off the list. Kang Hye Soo (Uee) and Han Ji Hoon (Lee Seo Jin) enter into a contract marriage to fulfill their respective needs. Ji Hoon’s mother is in urgent need of a liver transplant, and Hye Soo, a single mother with an inoperable brain tumor, hopes to save enough money for her young daughter. These three share the same extension of relationship beyond the main couple.
I love watching actors grow role by role, and these two had such a fantastically timed growth spurt in the same drama opposite one another. But the best thing about this entire show has always been the focus on family. None of us live in a vacuum and, good or bad, our families shape and define who we are. They both understood that the other’s family was part and parcel of who they are, and they each reached out to help the other’s family become healthy (even if that meant one couple splitting up). I adore how the families are still, and will always be, dysfunctional, because really aren’t all families in some way? But they learned how to love and accept one another in spite of that, and maybe even because of that.
The show is a beautiful watch with its varied interactions and assortment of everyday people just looking for romantic interactions. All people on season 2 of Dating Around ended up choosing someone as their second date. Let’s look at what has transpired between the couples so far.
The unique plotline and events that lead to the couple falling in love make the series one of a kind. The love triangle here also gives a different flavor to look forward to. The drama aired in 2011 is still close to the heart of many. This drama, loveexamined unlike other contract relationship Korean dramas, is lighthearted. It does not contain any complicated politics, which makes the experience a feel-good type. Yoon Eun Hye, who plays Gong Ah Jung, lies her friend for the sake of her pride.
From start to end, the wedding was perfect, as the curtain opened to reveal Eun-Tak in her dress. Their marriage scene in the show had fans emotional, as they finally get a happily ever after. Lee Yeon personally picks his bride’s dress and makes her a flower crown. They exchange rings made of leaves and flowers and get married in a dreamlike meadow, sharing a loving kiss. As their family and friends come in to greet them, there’s even a small showdown between Min-Hyuk and Guk-Doo (Ji Soo), Bong-Soon’s childhood friend who was part of a love triangle with the pair.
The two jobs are likely to link up, so did the two hit it off quite easily. Lex and Cory were the subjects of the third episode in the first season. Each one has moved on with her life and career, and both have found love with a different partner.
It’s too bad, because had they remained the strict clever twists on expectation, they would’ve been the show’s crowning cap. I do like that the writer was clearly experimenting and pushing the boundaries of that device; the results just weren’t always in my wheelhouse. At least the finale went out on the kind of cold open I had loved early on. In fact, my favorite thing about this drama, now that it’s over, is that everyone stayed fundamentally true to themselves.
